Tom Yeadon Art

Portraits that capture the spirit of the moments that matter.

I'm a Yorkshire-based artist, creating hand-painted portraits that celebrate the people, relationships and moments that matter most. I specialise in wedding portraits, including live wedding portraits, created on the day in front of you and your guests.

"Our guests loved watching him work on the day, and we love our new artwork!. Thank you, Tom! I love that I can look at it everyday and relive the magic of our wedding day with something so incredibly special!"

Painting your story

Your wedding photos speak for themselves. The best portraits aren't simply copied from photographs. Together we'll discuss your ideas, what you want to feel when you see your painting and the memories you want to preserve. From there I'll design a composition that's completely unique to you.

"The painting perfectly captures our wedding day and is something we’ll treasure for the rest of our lives.
The attention to detail and the care he put into every brushstroke is remarkable."

In the moment or looking back

Whether you'd like the magic of a live wedding painting created before your guests' eyes, or a bespoke commission completed after the big day, I'll work with you to create a portrait that captures the spirit of your celebration for years to come.

Live Wedding PaintingA live wedding painting is more than a keepsake, it becomes part of the celebration itself. Here’s how it works.Consultation before you bookWe’ll begin with a relaxed, no-obligation chat about your wedding and what you’d like your painting to capture. We’ll go through the basics, explore a few initial ideas and make sure I’m the right artist for you. If you’re happy, you can then go ahead and secure your date.Pre-wedding check-inAround one or two weeks before the wedding, we’ll speak again to confirm the details. We’ll revisit everything we’ve discussed, talk through any changes and focus on the people, moments and atmosphere that matter most to you.On the dayI’ll arrive two to three hours before the moment you’d like me to capture. This gives me time to choose the composition, set up and begin painting the surroundings. Guests are always welcome to stop by, have a chat and watch the artwork take shape. When the moment arrives, I’ll take a selection of reference photographs before continuing to paint as the celebration unfolds. I work from the atmosphere, light and character of the day, alongside these photographs, to create a painting that captures not only how your wedding looked, but how it felt.I can paint for just a few hours or stay until the end of the reception - it’s entirely up to you and the experience you’d like to create for your guests. Can I peep?Totally your call. If you want to save the surprise, then avert your eyes, but you're welcome to come and see me as much as you like.Finishing your paintingEvery painting receives some final attention in my studio, where I’ll refine the details and bring the whole piece together. Your finished original artwork will be ready within two to three weeks of the wedding, ready for a personal handover.Live wedding and event paintings start from £500, with most commissions falling between £500 and £1,000.I’d be delighted to hear about your plans and provide a personalised quotation for your day.Other Portraits and CommissionsWhether you’re celebrating a special milestone, commemorating a loved one or simply have an idea you’d like to bring to life, I’d love to hear from you.
